Any kind of abuse means you lose the right to loyalty in the relationship. Cheating is bad because it is betraying your partner’s trust, but if you’ve abused your spouse you’ve lost their trust and do not deserve their loyalty. I don’t need to pry into this woman’s personal trauma in order to decide if the abuse was “bad enough” to justify her cheating. He abused her, she’s trying to leave, and in the mean time she’s getting through it how she can. That’s all I need to know.
