Do people not consider talking to a financial planner before having kids bc wdym you live in your parents basement, share a 2005 car with your husband, have zero college fund started for your kid??? Maybe wait then…it’s not fair to raise kids like that

What's wrong with sharing a 2005 car? Also the vast majority of parents can't afford setting up a college fund. That's literally a rich people thing, and you sound very sheltered 😭

What’s wrong with sharing a car? It’s impractical, I’m assuming dad goes to work everyday with the car so how does mom take baby to appointments or go shopping for groceries or do anything during the day? Every person should set up a college fund for their kid and put even a few bucks in each month, it’s not fair to put your child into debt just because they want to learn and you didn’t prepare enough. I work with people who are in their 40’s paying off student debt and they resent their parents

I meant specifically the 2005 car. What's wrong with it being old? And yeah I agree, it's not fair. But my parents already paid for my living expenses, medical bills, everything when I was a kid, so they literally had nothing left to be able to afford a college fund. At least that's their logic
