I let myself go for a while due to PTSD (short version: explosion outside building killed an employee, their driver, and almost my dad) and have been doing better after nearly 3 years and lost 55 pounds now since August. I’m starting to like my body again

does that mean you’re on your way to overcoming the incel attitude? just seen you say “welcome to the internet and feminism” in response to some dude weeping about “sexism against men”

In my life I’ve always put down the people who think women are objects. But most women I’ve met do believe men are shit and terrible. So yea, I do see a lot of it quite often even IRL.

women are structurally oppressed by men, of course they harbor some hostility over it. most who feel that way don’t actually want to harm men (don’t get me wrong, obviously Some do), they’re just hateful of the societal power wielded over them by men and how they’ve been exploited

I get that and as a young boss myself I pay my men and women equally as all people should. I’ve actually found that women are way more reliable in the workforce than men on anything that involves organization. But when I go out or talk to girls I know, they act like they HAVE to fight some kind of big gender war and wonder why they are single… you gotta put yourself out there and stop being an asshole lol

def not trying to say that you must be individually responsible for that oppression, to be clear. I just would encourage men to try and make a point of not taking it so personally when women voice grievances against men in a general sense. cause the reality of their oppression is that it’s more like women have all been unwillingly drafted into a gender war that most of them have no real interest in fighting

I mean, no one’s entitled to a relationship, I’m not here to excuse any full-blown femcel shit either. just that if someone’s being figuratively shot at all the time beginning in early childhood by a combatant who has an advantage over her, she starts to learn to be quick to draw her own gun too, even if it’s purely out of reflex

Honestly that shit sucks. I know I’ll never have to go through that and I don’t have the mind of a woman to properly understand what that’s like, but the male side of things is abysmal from what I’ve seen of guys my age that are still single. They just never learned how to talk to women and the dating landscape is aweful. They’re intimidated by women overall and claim that they have nothing interesting to add to the conversation and their days consist of tiktok and drama.

It’s a mess and people are gonna have to figure out how to cooperate with each other again at a base level. Right now there’s too many of these conversations and people should be learning how to deal with this at a younger age. Not in their 20’s and 30’s
