I don’t get everyone’s beef with Tom Felton’s comments about JK Rowling So, he didn’t condemn her comments. It doesn’t mean he’s a bad person. He acknowledged a truth– Harry Potter has brought the world together and like it or not, she did that.

Oh, I know that. She made a lot of terrible remarks, but I don’t understand why him focusing on Harry Potter bringing the world together and her doing that, versus saying she was a horrible person for making transphobic remarks somehow makes him one. It just doesn’t sit right with me. But celebrities even living their lives in public, we only know a fraction of their lives. Not them actually, so…

That’s a gross generalization. If you’re helping them, sure. But are you supposed to not associate with anyone who has different views than you? How are you going to get through life – work – like that? There are racist, transphobic, sexist, etc. people. Just because you work with, or work for, someone who is doesn’t make you.

giving people your labor when they should be shunned and ostracized by society is absolutely helping them and normalizing their behavior. if you have a choice you should choose differently. i don’t think this role is make or break for him financially. id rather starve to death than work for a transphobe
