Hi OP, You are correct. In Spain, people don’t fill out their profiles because they know each other in the Pueblos. So when they send a message or swipe, it’s a big thing to show interest because they all know each other. But even when they know each other doesn’t mean they want long term. What happens is they hang out a club and hookup at their apartment or small home. So they too have toxicity even when they know each other.

i live in a huge city and i still occasionally see people i know and its lowkey so embarrassing so i can only imagine what its like in a small town😭

Now when they do know each other as a town it does limit blatant stuff because they don’t want others knowing. But people still don’t want long term. Now in remote areas away from big cities, then those are areas that do want long term and a big thing to show interest.
