It was funny but super hurtful. I can take many jokes at my expense but that one i could tell came from the heart. I was just trying to be playful and telling him what the new hire should be like saying i need a new bf and he throws this out and im like... um yeah i guess sure...

Oh that’s shitty :/ I thought it’d be in a lighthearted way but ultimately that is just a jab at you which isn’t cool in the workplace and especially from your boss. I’m sorry, get yourself a sweet treat because you deserve it 🫶🏽

He was implying you have to be super patient with me and that usually means you are annoying or difficult to be around which i try desperately hard not to be that

I think he was joking and when he saw how i reacted he said it was just a joke but like it doesnt feel like a joke because my biggest insecurity is people not liking me and i cant tell. I am very charismatic and high energy so this is like telling the golden retriever puppy that no one wants to pet or play with it

Oh no i am super duper patient he was saying if i had a boyfriend he would have to be very patient. I am very very nice and am very empathetic it takes a shit ton for me to get mad
