I AGREE. I actually think the major harm is how it's been spun as some cool, low-stakes, fun thing to do, so HELLA young girls are making OFs for shits and giggles. There was already a real bad porn addiction/porn brain rot epidemic occurring too, and OF has severely worsened it. I admittedly made an OF in a manic episode (I actually have Bipolar I) when I was 19. And it permanently altered the way I view men, the world as a whole, and myself.

i think it’s actually a much safer way for people to produce sexual content compared to the usual stuff and i think that’s what sex workers say too plus they get more control over the income

Nah, I think it's all on the same level. Gambling addictions, drug addictions, and porn addictions are all in the same realm. And now they're also all pushed for greed/profit. All are awful.

Yeah that's actually part of the problem. Sex work was for those in REALLY rough, desperate spots, for those without other options. Now it's just cool and quirky and everyone be debasing themselves all over the internet for a quick buck and ego boost. And OF addicts have these strange paradoxical relationships with the sex workers where they think the content is being created just for them. Keeping these men disturbed, alone, and dysfunctional.

well like i think there’s nothing wrong if people are comfortable with themselves and consenting adults wanting to create sexual content and sex/porn addicts with parasocial relationships with actors already existed? also it’s not necessarily easy to make good money on OF it’s kinda like streaming it’s hard to get anything close to like a livable income on it

Yeah, it was already bad, now it's worse. Just like, the drug crisis was a horrific issue, then they pushed Fent and Xylozene onto the streets, and now it's worse. My bestie's fiancé and her had to break things off bc he couldn't stay off OF. It was actually sad, he had a genuine porn addiction. Idk, I made good money, it's not very hard as long as you advertise in any way. There's infinite terrifyingly horny, desperate men on there waiting to throw money at literally any young girl.
