This obviously doesn’t apply in situations where the other person personally knows the cheater’s partner

It’s only valid in the super rare occasions of severe abuse. But the “I cheated bc my partner was never home and worked too much”, and everyone’s like “yeah they’re so horrible for doing that to you!” Is just insane to me too. Like no my guy working too many hours isn’t the same as cheating. Oh, you felt neglected? Yeah, you neglected to get a divorce lawyer, asshole
