Been trying to start writing a book or novel just to use my brain muscles (creative writing and such) and it’s really hard to get the plot in order without holes Any tips? 😅

Make it first, then perfect it later. Write those drafts, get the general plot in order. Then touch up the major plot holes to help develop the world and story. You’ve got this, just get the general idea and plot made, then touch it up. It’ll look like a mess at first, but any improvement or creation does

I was in creative writing for four years in high school! To keep characters consistent, give them a motivation, a goal, and a character flaw that challenges their ability to reach their goal. This will make their decisions, dialogue, and reactions to events seamless while writing! And again, just be the first draft down even if it makes no sense at all! Good luck!

also, going off of #1’s comment, once you have the general plot and you start working on those plot holes, think about what your characters would do/what motivates them and make sure that lines up with what happens plot wise
