When I turned 19, no one remembered my birthday. Not even my parents. I haven’t actively celebrated a birthday since. It’s kind of funny.

When you’re an adult, if you want your birthday to be fun and exciting then usually you gotta put some effort into that. The specialness does exist but u not a kid anymore, can’t rely on everyone else to make it happen and get offended if someone doesn’t always remember (unless its ur partner or parent)

I don’t think I’ve ever had an enjoyable birthday, even as a kid 😕 as a kid we were too poor for any kind of fun party or activity and as an adult no one cares

I travel alone for my birthdays! Went to Miami this year. You don’t need anyone to make you happy. Find peace in solitude
