Oh 100%. They are a huge responsibility. I understand that they bring joy to many people- but dogs are not just an accessory. I don’t mind dog owners but I can’t stand LAZY and inconsiderate dog owners that just assumes everyone else adores their dog. Same applies to parents

Also maybe it’s just bc I’ve never owned one fr- but I feel like the “bond” or relationship with dogs aren’t even real. Like it’s good and loyal to you bc u feed it and take care of it ? It’s not a human being it can’t understand things like unconditional love. It’s literally just pavlon love

I COULD NOT AGREE MORE. And I also feel like disliking dogs is soooo frowned upon in society. It’s like there’s this expectation that you should love dogs and always want to see them. I literally overheard my coworkers the other day talking about how they “can always tell when someone didn’t grow up around dogs🙄” and it’s like ok ???? Half of y’all didn’t grow up with a dad but that’s a diff convo
