Doing your own thing and breaking away from the slavery of the 9-5 is still capitalism. Capitalism is private production ownership instead of public, so what you’re saying is still capitalism. I think people who say it’s not depressing to work all the day like that are just too obsessed with hard work as a way to find fulfillment. Best part about America is that you can make money both ways if you have the drive despite your circumstances.
You can view it however you like. Trying to push that view on others is weird. The entire other thread was just you admitting you can't consider the perspective of others in your life. It's privileged to think everyone has to have the same outlook as you, act as you do, and if they don't it somehow means they love capitalism lmao.
You aren't getting the point. People are different and value different things. You're not wrong for what you value, you're wrong for trying to push that on your friends and/or shame them for it, albeit anonymously. They ARE doing stuff outside of work. So what if that takes the form of them staying home and not going out with YOU? Have they expressed that they feel trapped and depressed, asking you for help? If not, that's their prerogative, just as yours is to go out and have fun.
