Yeah this is genuinely just a lie that men are told cuz as a woman seeing OTHER woman’s choice in men in media, celebrities, your own mom, friends, etc Like they’ll take ANYBODY. The shittiest, ugliest, brokest men on the planet that treat them like shit. Ofc not all woman but it’s definitely common asf, why do you think women dread telling their friends about their new man with pictures 😭 Men are the main ones that care about looks over everything else, it’s just a fact.

Ofc like with woman, there is exceptions were men will date an unconventionally attractive woman but even in media, celebrities, and just looking at your own friend group or family that rarely happens OR the woman is still average or used to be pretty when she was younger. Ugly man with pretty woman is extremely common objectively then Ugly woman with pretty man. it’s 1000% ok to care about looks, i do, but i am not lying. you may be considered physically unattractive to many and think im lying bc you don’t have a gf but many other men who are not conveniently attractive have gfs and a lot of their gfs are conveniently attractive or more so than they are. a lot of straight men don’t give much personality when talking to women so i can understand how an ok looking guy who’s really kind and can contribute to a convo stands out to women.

Yeah that is fair. There could be many other factors to why a society standards ugly guy is with a hotter woman. Could be money. They could have a long history. Also I’d say women also show little to no personality when talking on dating apps or in general.
