I have been lying to my bf about believing in God. I have tried to see things how he does but I just can’t. Am I evil for not just ending it? Everything else we connect on 100%. I am just not a believer in things supernatural.

What is it, religion and politics that must be agreed upon in a relationship? True love can surpass that I believe, but it will lead to a lot of arguments. Take it from someone who used to lie, relationships can’t be built on them. It will catch up with you and it will be painful.

i think it would be better to just end it, or, if you’re willing, have a conversation about it. your beliefs are fair and so are his, but the biggest issue is not being honest. it’s totally possible for two people w differing religious/spiritual beliefs to be in a relationship, that’s just something u guys need to talk about to know if it is best for both of you

The only “evil” thing you’re doing right now is lying. Everything can be worked through, including differences in religion. What can’t be worked through is lying and breaking that trust

I mean, this might not be the best solutions… But how often does this topic come up? Do you guys talk about god a lot? Can you just tell him you stopped believing? Is it a topic that doesn’t get brought up enough that you could just not tell him the truth? Or do you think he will find it funny or cute that u lied about something so small in order to impress him? How important is god and religion to him..? I don’t think it’s something to breakup over. But if this is rly important to him than mayb
