Today was my birthday… I threw a party… all my friends who didn’t have to work came… my boyfriend didn’t… he lives an hour away and doesn’t drive… he had plenty of time to secure a ride prior to today though… I’m so angry

I hate to say this but if he cared enough he would’ve found a way to get to you. An hour away is NOTHING. You can easily find a bus or train depending on where you’re located.

Idk I think an hour away is pretty rough to try to ask someone else to drive you. And some people just suck at planning ahead and have 0 executive functioning

He definitely sucks at planning and he’s usually able to get a ride day of but idk you would think that he would’ve tried a little harder cuz it’s my birthday yk

We’ve been talking about it on and off all day and he just kept apologizing and saying everyone he knows that drives is busy but like he didn’t ask his sisters bf, his dad, or any of his friends

Not having a car is a big problem. And having to ask people for rides sucks and is embarrassing as all fuck and uncomfortable too when you have to sit in a car with a near stranger for an hour ride there and an hour ride back I assume you don’t have a car either huh 🫤. Sorry yeah that sucks but idk, impossible for us to really know but I wouldn’t be too upset about it unless it’s like part of a bigger recurring issue

I have a car but usually I’m way too busy to go get him and he lives with his mom and little brother and I live alone so we prefer to hangout at my house he usually gets a ride from his mom, sister, or older brother but he didn’t ask any of them prior and they were all busy or had to work and he has friends and other family members that drive but he didn’t ask any of them
