I agree!!! It downplays the severity of rape. And it makes me mad when people say “grape.” It sounds like they’re joking and a cue to laugh

I’m pretty sure that the censorship is to avoid getting taken down. But I don’t think there needs to be censorship on Yik yak. That’s more of a Tik tok and instagram thing

We do it because mods take it down if we don’t🧍🏾‍♂️. I know it sounds dumb but 50% of the time I use “rapist”, mods are like “Nonono! That’s a triggering word, censor it!” And it gets taken down. You think I’m saying “grapist” because I’m trying to downplay the severity of it or because it’s a joke? No, I just wanna be able to be heard and make a point without risk of my shit getting taken down.
