Most of the things I like arguing about are either just genuinely sad current events stuff or stuff that’s very niche. I do have strong opinions on bigfoot. As a soon-to-be-biologist it’s not real. We would have solid physical evidence of an extant megafaunal animal like that in North America if it was real.

But if it did existed, hypothetically. It would not fucking be Gigantopithecus. I hate when people say that. It’s a holdover from when we thought Gigantopithecus was a hominid related to us. It wasn’t. It was an orangutan relative. Bigfoot wouldn’t be a Gigantopithecus. It would be some sort of Paranthropus most likely, if not an Australopithecus. Those actually walked upright.
