Chivalry is fine to an extent but only if you extend that courtesy to everyone (except for rich people but that’s just a personal policy)

And understand that boundaries in relationships/friendships always exist. You aren’t getting taken to dinners fully paid when you just rejected the person who liked you. Some peoples attention and generosity are very conditional especially when it comes to types of relationships and im tired of people acting like it doesn’t exist. You are not weak, you can do things yourself now as a grown adult.

Exactly moreso this tbh, we emphasize it to men and not to women with the excuse that “well men start to think we like them”. If that doesn’t tell how often men don’t have nice things in general done for them then idk what to tell you.
