Well it’s really rare I don’t think one can comprehend it. IUDs itself are very effective. Another is finding a guy who has a vasectomy and that’s not even guaranteed. There was a story of a woman who was stabbed in the stomach and got pregnant because her uterus was there and the knife had sperm. There are countless stories of weird odds defying pregnancies.

To put this in perspective a woman in her most fertile years at her most fertile cycle (near or at ovulation) has a 25% chance of fertilization. And the odds get lower when you consider implantation, and then pregnancy surviving spontaneous abortions, and then miscarriages, and then stillbirth. Pregnancy even if you were trying is still objectively scientifically, statistically, and mathematically rare on an individual outcome. It’s why doctors go by year of “trying” not acts.

But all of this to say. Life is filled with probabilities from big decisions to quotidian moments. It’s just a risk analysis that we do. Some people do fly on planes even though the statistics are in their favor but would drive when auto accidents are one of the leading causes of death. In the end you’re the best way to not get pregnant is to abstain but even then it’s not guaranteed.

What a massive rant. I don’t even want to have sex, you’re talking to a wall. Plus I already knew that, but it would be my luck for that to happen so I just don’t have sex. What is with people trying to talk people into having sex nowadays? It’s not even I want to wait for marriage I just flat out have no interest in having sex at this point in my life. Get a grip.

And I literally abstain, that’s why I said no to the IUD comment… it’s implied in the post too I abstain as birth control can fail even when used correctly. Smh.

Damn what a crashout. Relax, no one is trying to talk you into having sex. You’re a free person with autonomy to have sex or not. You’ve completely missed the nuance, the point I was making was it’s statistical improbable as a refutation to your objection of IUD. Not that you should have sex or not which is your prerogative but to understand reality.

Evidently you missed the part when I mentioned a woman got pregnant accidentally being stabbed; I was highlighting the point that merely abstaining is not guaranteed.
