For the people that legit don’t know (which is totally okay!): Basically, when people refer to a lady as "female," it can feel dehumanizing because it's a broad, scientific term that can apply to animals as well. I and a lot of ladies prefer being addressed as a "woman" or "lady" bc it recognizes personhood beyond biological category. A lot of guys do this intentionally and exclusively to ladies on purpose to be sexist, sadly. Esp when you don’t hear them call other guys ‘males’. :(
