It literally doesn't have to if everybody would just be normal instead of using their kids as a pawn to make their ex mad lol that's literally what I'm commenting on with this post. That's weird lol argue over who gets the lake house not over who gets the kid unless there's actual like safety concerns

Think of every person you know who had to deal with a custody battle in a divorce. Now think how many of them where white vs not white

Anecdotal yes my favorite! I grew up in a black area all my divorce stories are of black people.

Sure anecdotes don't work when you're considering a sample not representative of the population you're generalizing. There are no stats to reference on this, they don't records custody battle racial demographics. With that said, 2 things that are statistically true are 1.) custody battles predominantly happen in higher income households bc they can afford to litigate and 2.) higher income households are disproportionately white. Noticing associations isn't wrong just bc we lack studies for them

That literally doesn't do anything to support or refute my argument lol. My argument is not people who get divorced and have children have custody battles. My argument is most people who get divorced and have children that have custody battles are white. Knowing what percent of divorced couples by race have kids literally doesn't not indicate anything about who disproportionately has custody battles
