Hey I’m Muslim, ask me whatever. Just doing this as a way for people to talk to a real person that believes in Islam instead of engaging with propaganda online as the main way of conceptualizing Muslims/Islam

I think I prefer black beans, that’s what I usually get at chipotle. I prefer chickpeas over both since they have more protein tho

Islam is pretty much very anti sexualization in society, so the very idea of people building identities off attraction is a bit of an anathema whether it be straight, gay, etc. Sexual preferences are more of a private thing, so the whole concept is kinda alien. With that idea of privacy in mind, it’s rly not a Muslim’s business what another person does in their private lives, especially sins. It’s a sin to snoop in other people’s business. It’s also a sin to engage in same sexual activities and

Copying the other gender. So like if someone has gay/trans feelings that’s just seen as a test from God similar to how a “straight” person might feel a way towards someone outside marriage. This whole life is a test to see if we can override our nafs (ego/desires) and just follow what God wants as opposed to what we want. But if one does fall into sin, God will literally forgive anyone that asks for it. So if someone can’t help themselves they just ask God for forgiveness and He’ll honor that

Since humans are weak/this test life is tough but hey at least our heart is in the right place. The person does have to honestly mean to ask for forgiveness though. And then there’s the story of the prostitute and the Dog: (prostitution is sex outside marriage and obviously haram as a sexual sin similar to the ones you mentioned) a prostitute is walking by a dog starving and dying of thirst, so she goes to help the dog by getting water from a well to give it. For that deed, she gets into heaven

What this teaches is that we are not defined by our sins so much as the good we do, and that God is a lot more merciful than we think. Then there’s the story of the alcoholic and the prophet pbuh: there’s a Muslim alcoholic who keeps drinking even though it’s haram so people begin cursing the guy and the prophet pbuh intervenes saying the guy is not those curses and that he loves God. Sinning doesn’t make you not Muslim. We all sin, but we keep our sins private and ask God for forgiveness

So similar to the alcoholic and prostitute the gay/trans person would just need to keep their sins private, ask God for forgiveness, and try to do more Good deeds. The gay/trans actions (not thoughts) are def sins and not something we should accept as okay, but they also can’t be persecuted as it’s a private matter and only God really knows what’s in someone’s heart + who gets to heaven. Someone could have straight attraction & do the Muslim rituals perfectly but be arrogant and go to hell

Sorry if this was a bit long, but I hope it all answered your question. Overall it’s a nuanced view and we should treat everyone as human and with dignity, Gay/trans people are fellow Muslims in the same test as the rest of us with their own particular versions of that test from God
