I’m not talking about Saudi Arabia or any part of Africa, I’m talking about our recent progress. America peaked in 1995 and we should seek to reverse most of the changes since then

Or maybe we could just acknowledge these facts and do our best to end homelessness, poverty, and ensure legal and social protections for underprivileged communities. Expecting your average citizen to put themself in poverty while doing nothing to punish those actually in power proves you don’t care about those issues

I’m saying maybe we shouldn’t celebrate a country that was built on racism, sexism and abuse, and legally protects criminals and child predators
