i see old people in these hospitals and nursing homes and i just can’t fathom living so long that your body is like toothpicks. i legit cannot see myself old it’s the weirdest thing.

no real I work at a nursing home and I’m literally like please kill me before I get to the age where I have to like. Sit there and with her away and be miserable and like fucking have to eat puréed food and not even real food.

Hi OP, a lot of that can be mitigated. Read on the 95 year old gymnast. Sometimes though disease can set in earlier which can complicate the twilight years. But for many, one can age gracefully.

However, the final weeks or months in hospice is something many do not realize how it is. It is basically a sputtering engine about to fail or pneumonia expanding in the body. Medicine and staff can help during such times but the ordeal is still there. In the news, important people basically go into sleep via medication before the pneumonia becomes terminal and can’t breathe.
