Clinical depression got so normalized that we went full-circle, no one takes it seriously, and no one knows what it is. We back to thinking it's feeling sad/bummed out 😭 or the general depression of existing as a human is the same as clinical depression
This is what seems to have happened with every “mainstream” mental illness. By mainstream, I mean the more common ones people generally know about like depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, etc.
