My ex husband yelled at me for painting him because it was “fucking gay.” My new boyfriend begged me to paint him because he said he wanted to see himself through my eyes. I’m so fucking glad I got a divorce

Okay yeah I’m a cheater. And my ex husband was a physically abusive alcoholic pos. Keep on feeling sorry for him if you want.

him being a piece of shit doesn’t make you not a piece of shit, i genuinely don’t understand your thought process, my ex was also an alcoholic who raped me, but i’d never cheat because someone else’s wrong doings don’t encourage me to be a bad person too, i want to be better than them

Okay? Good for you? You could’ve cheated tho. I’ll always support cheating on an abuser. Those people don’t deserve respect

i think abuse already breaks the trust in a relationship. why should you have to be loyal to an abuser? at that point, cheating matters a lot less

That’s what I’m saying. Cheating is bad but cheating on an abuser isn’t bad

for me personally i don’t believe someone else’s behavior or actions should affect my morality, that’s just my stance, it’s horrific when anyone is abused, trust me i understand, but it never changed what i thought was right or wrong

Yes someone’s else’s actions can 100% affect your morality. Pretty obvious example: murder is bad, but murdering your child’s rapist isn’t bad. Or stealing is bad, but stealing from a thief isn’t bad. Cheating is bad, but cheating on someone who’s abused you isn’t bad.

that’s your opinion, i don’t think murder is ever moral, i don’t think taking back what a thief took of yours is “stealing” because it’s your property, and i don’t think cheating is ever right either, people are able to do things they believe aren’t moral because the outcome overrides the priority of goodness, everything has nuance, things being immoral doesn’t stop people from doing them because the outcome of their behavior is more important to them

You need therapy dude. Your view of morality is totally skewed

Yeah you’re right, it’s super fucking embarrassing that I was groomed and manipulated by an older man when I was a teenager who pretty much forced me to marry him when I turned 18 and it was even more embarrassing when I grew as a person and decided to leave my abusive relationship and get a divorce
