What about that sentence was incorrect? Just because they used the term “he has or he’s” instead of was doesn’t make it an incorrect sentence, this isn’t a damn essay.

I believe it’s the “he’s been” is a progressive/continuous tense while it would be untrue that he’s STILL been waiting since they had already hooked up. Although I understand that it wasn’t 100% grammatically correct, I don’t get correcting the sentence, when everyone understood it anyway.
