Was pressured and forced into sex by ex because she couldn’t fathom a guy not being ready for or not wanting sex, and would say I wasn’t attracted to her or call me gay every time I tried to refuse. Took me forever to understand that’s rape. 🫠

calling out this commenter specifically bc how are you using a common feminist-space joke to refer to rape? disgusting behavior, and they should burn along with the rest of the shitheads under that post.

Can you explain how this is funny?

The joke isn’t about the rape, or diminishing it in any way, it is solely making fun of the rapist. It is by definition funny as it uses a common phrase in an unexpected and relatively clever way. I had a very abusive ex and have made the exact same joke about her.

making a joke about your own experience as a method of coping through humor is completely different from a stranger online making a joke about another’s experience.

Again, the victim is not in any way being made fun of

genuinely can you just stfu and listen to victims when they tell you to not joke abt their rape? the joke is normally said in SUPPORT of the woman who switches the dynamic. it also can imply that the guy is less of a man for being on the other side of the dynamic.

You’re reading way to into it man, the joke being usually used in support of the women is why it works in this scenario, idk why you think anything on YikYak is this deep lmao

it really is that deep to patronize rape victims, & I’m sorry for you if you can’t respect other victims. shame on you.

Arguing that a joke is funny isn’t being patronizing, if you’re going to argue with me at least use the correct words.

I AM using the correct terms. it doesn’t matter if it’s funny or not. it’s not your experience, so don’t joke about it. beyond the fact that you can’t comprehend subtext, you should simply back off when someone tells you that your joke is insensitive.

Again, that’s not being patronizing. You can say it’s being a dick but you clearly are using words you don’t understand. Also, I can joke about whatever I please, it’s literally my job.

the subtext is patronizing, dumbass. and you’re not paid to make insensitive rape jokes. freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom of consequences. the consequence here is that you’re a prick and make others uncomfortable ❤️

Seconding OP here. No one is saying that as a comedian that you can’t make jokes about anything, #3. However, good comedians know where certain lines are, and when and where to cross them; there’s a clear difference between telling a joke, and being an asshat. There’s plenty of good comedians out there who joke about sensitive topics. You aren’t one.
