well they’re going to find out just like breonna taylor’s boyfriend. he had every right to defend himself and he died doing it. you shouldn’t need to arm yourself against your government breaking into your house at night…..

Care to elaborate with an actual point. Or an actual defense as to why deporting illegal immigrants is bad?

On the topic of economy wouldn’t it be better if they became legal citizens and could make an American wage. The real reason certain businesses are fighting so hard to have illegal immigrants not be deported is so they can pay them way less money as opposed to American citizens. So I don’t think it’s a bad thing to force these businesses to pay their workers what they deserve, not pay them slave wages with no benefits.

For the second topic, those parents and people made a conscious decision to have children and bring their families over when they knew they were here illegally. They knew the consequences for their actions and put their families in this situation themselves. They knew the risks and did it anyway. There is no other crime that people get a hall pass for because they have a family.

The country was built on legal immigration and immigrants who assimilated into the country. Not massive amounts of illegal immigrants.

Because you don’t have an actual point, that’s why you immediately called me a nazi. And I might be wrong on this but since when is American citizenship a human right?

Just because someone disagrees with your ideas doesn’t automatically make them a nazi. If you throw that word around because of a difference in ideas the world looses meaning.

I think the main point is that it would be bad for the economy. Hundreds of thousands of undocumented immigrants work in the United States and in 2022 alone paid almost 100 billion in taxes. This money goes to funding social security, Medicare, infrastructure, and other government programs. They contribute towards government programs endlessly while being excluded from receiving them. Also many of them have families and are established members of their communities. Ripping them and their

children from the lives they know is morally wrong and is not okay to do. Many kids didn’t make the decision to come here and their parents just wanted better lives for them. A lot of kids were born here and so orphaning them just to fulfill a dream of deporting everyone is cruel and unjust. Lastly I think it’s wholly anti-American. This country was built by immigrants and was always made out to be a melting pot and a place for the teeming masses. If people are so hell bent on being patriotic

and preaching American values then why would they deny the “American dream” to so many people searching for it. Everyone in this country aside from the native Americans and the native Mexican peoples are immigrants from somewhere. There are also undocumented people from all over the world living here and it seems that the only ones people care to deport are those with a different skin color than them. If there’s going to be any blanket decision made, then it should be to give them all

citizenship and full immunity for coming here without proper legal documentation. They are people who just want what’s best for their kids and their future and who are we to deny them that.

The country was also built by slaves so does that mean that as long as it’s legal then it’s okay?

Also immigration at that time was a day or two at ellis island and today’s process can take over 10 years. The comparison of the two isn’t really fair

And it only took a day or two because they didn’t do any verification. No passports or visas were required during that period. I don’t think it’s a bad thing that it takes a while for someone to be legally admitted to the country.

It takes a long time to be vetted throughly and to do a proper background check. Now I will say the immigration process legally speaking is a long process. And I will concede that are probably things the government could do to accelerate the process.
