The comment snot understanding at all. Even with rich friends you start to fall behind because they have no real world view of money and assume you can keep up spending wise. They don’t grasp that $80 is a full workday before taxes.

I don’t think it’s that he’s rich… it’s that he’s callus, un-empathetic, and doesn’t check his privilege. If a date or relationship is more about the money than the thought that’s a red flag.

He’s always pressuring me to buy new things all the time acting like what I have isn’t good enough. We take turns paying for dates which I don’t mind. But even the last time we hung out he made a comment stating that I’m only paying the tab bc it’s a cheaper meal & he’ll be stuck with the more expensive tab next time. Like he’s always making digs at me in that regard & I feel like I never contribute enough. But he literally has little to no bills & lives off his rich parents
