Entering a country illegally should NOT entitle anyone to due process. I get that it does, but it shouldn’t. If you can not see we are being attacked in non-traditional ways, by Mexico and China. Just open your eyes and your mind, then maybe you’ll see it. Schools, public assistance and emergency rooms are overwhelmed in a lot of places bc of illegals. Not sorry.
genuinely question for the original post, i thought that it was illegal to not be documented as an immigrant, is it not? for example, when i left the US on vacation, i had to go through customs with my passport and explain why i was visiting the country and for how long. are you saying it's not a criminal offense but instead a civil, or another type of offense, or that there isn't a law enforcing documentation for people coming and going in and out of countries?
because it’s white nationalism at its finest.. this post isn’t my opinion it’s the law, being undocumented is a CIVIL offense which is the same crime level as copyright.. you can not be arrested for a civil offense and you sure as hell can’t be ripped from your job and family by armed men in civilian clothing pretending to be officers
Yea this has been an issue that’s never talked about. I’m all for giving support to people in need, but at the same time, if we let just anyone and everyone in without regulations, chaos would ensue. We have already been experiencing crowding in places you’ve said, but I’m sure there are other issues not being discussed that are connected to the huge influx of immigrants.
No I never said that. Theres a medium between kidnapping working class families in vans and letting everyone in without regulation. I don’t understand how providing due process would hinder deportations unless they are *unjust deportations.* Due process only ensures that deportations are done with evidence of being a non-citizen. Due process is a founding principle of this country.
Due process delays deportation while using up resources. There are people who are against using so many resources on illegal immigrants, especially with the huge influx in recent years. And you asked your question to #5. I’m not against due process, I just recognize that it’s not black and white
Due process is practicing the right to a fair trial so the immigrants can plead their case in court. It doesn’t determine who’s illegal… Officials have people’s information in a database. When you cross a border, you give them that information. Failing to do so or not showing up in their database suggests you’re an illegal immigrant. Many countries deport illegals without making a fuss, why is it suddenly not okay with Americans?
I have not been saying that people don’t have the right to be anywhere. Wanting our government to accept any and all immigrants willy nilly would be chaotic and consequential. Regulations and laws are placed for a reason. If you break it, it’s illegal. That’s it. For me, it’s not about not having empathy or thinking they’re all criminals or saying they don’t deserve whatever.
