“what if the aborted baby cures cancer” what abt the already-born children in foster care that need stable supportive homes to flourish. what abt children in low-income neighbors w schools that funnel them into jail or low-income jobs. what abt the insane debt people have to take on to get the education required to even try to cure cancer. what about scientists+scientific organizations being defunded and discredited. the problem is not abortion lmao

I would so much rather a woman be allowed to make that decision on their own. Did you know getting your tubes tied isn’t 100% effective? Neither is an IUD, or implant, or condoms, or pill. Actually if she weighs over 180 lbs, Plan B won’t work either! So if a woman takes all the necessary precautions to avoid being pregnant, why should she not be allowed to terminate the pregnancy (statistically speaking, most abortions happen in the first trimester) far before it’s ever capable of surviving?

Regardless, the Republicans in Congress so far have 1) cut funding for Medicaid 2) changed the requirements for Medicaid which will leave around 12 million Americans without medical insurance 3) Cut SNAP funding 4) cut the Local Food for Schools Program (which left THOUSANDS of kids without school lunches) 5) cut another program that assisted with providing food to food banks . Any empathy Conservatives “have” is disguised in selfishness and an unwillingness to accept you may not be correct.
