idk i feel like there’s a way to express that’s not your personal beliefs but you still appreciate them thinking about you. personally ik prayer does nothing (statistically from studies), but i appreciate the gesture of someone caring for me like that

like if you tell someone you’re going through a hard time and they say they’re gonna pray for you that is an extremely kind thing for them to say. they are going to their god/s and asking them to help you. and your response is something like “god isn’t real” or “please don’t”…like damn okay ungrateful bitch

like i understand if someone says it in a condescending way. telling you they’ll pray for you when nothing is actually wrong. yeah that’s a pain in the ass and i don’t blame you for having attitude with them, they’re disrespecting you. but if you just shit on people who are genuinely trying to wish you well, you’re an ass. youre not better than other people for being agnostic. it’s the same as religious people who think they’re better bc they’re religious. it’s just high and mighty bullshit
