basically, disabled people are often treated like an afterthought when we discuss victims of the holocaust, and tbh I think the main reason for this is that eugenics is Still deemed “arguably justified” in mainstream thought when applied to the disabled
when people demonstrate explicitly racist and/or antisemitic attitudes, they often get labeled a nazi. and that makes sense but what’s strange to me is that I almost never see that same type of critical response towards people who are openly ableist?
