I wonder if maga people ever get embarrassed because every time they’re confronted with facts they just go ghost. Are they unable to debate unless the person is unprepared or what

Two examples on one post from just an hour ago of people on the right acting this way

I’ve honestly had the same thing with the left, I think it happens on both sides because they either don’t know how to respond, don’t feel like engaging anymore/don’t care, or think they won and don’t respond

The main difference being that magas overwhelmingly open with intellectual slurs and insults, then fail to attempt any sort of discourse when they’re met with facts. Some people on the left do too, but it’s nowhere near as prevalent as you see on the right

I feel the opposite haha, in my experience the left has overwhelmingly chosen to insult me and call me slurs than respond to my point, whereas I’ve seen conservatives attempt to engage in productive conversation although I’m sure they do that too. Perhaps our conclusion is people on both sides can suck at debate.

And this isn’t even an exaggeration or like an insult towards all religious people. But I genuinely saw a dude on here complaining that people were rude to him since he voted for trump, then admitted he didn’t care what goes on in the world and he only cares about God and family and he is going to have to pray on whether or not he votes for Trump in the next election. Failing to realize that Trump even running in the next election is a violation of law.

I don’t have examples from my old account, but I have two from this new one. In-person experience, I had someone have their friends send me hate mail and death threats after we had a debate in class, tell my they hoped I died, and other call me all kinds of terrible names. For both sides, i don’t think yik yak is a good example on generalizing an entire group, but in person has given me the same results

What were your posts?

One was about Nick Freitas, other one was about the Epstein files and what evidence was against Trump; they just said I couldn’t read than responding to what I said lol

Were you trying to imply that there ISN’T evidence against Trump in the Epstein files?

And honestly, I don’t know who Nick Freitas is, but comparing someone with potentially extremist beliefs to another extremist ideology isn’t nearly as bad as calling someone a SLUR lmao?

Objectively he doesn’t have extremist beliefs, which I said but they wouldn’t respond. I would say that “neo nazi” is a slur, it’s a “insulting or disparaging remark or innuendo.”

No I was saying that the reason he hasn’t been completely taken down is because all they have are statements or unverified allegations, no hard evidence, which isn’t an unpopular opinion, even NY times says that. Criminal guilt isn’t really proven for any named in the Epstein files which is what is so frustrating about them, FBI is just protecting the criminals

I don’t think we need to get obtuse about the definition of slur to make a point. An extreme political affiliation accusation is not the same in the slightest lol. However, I did look him up just to do my due diligence before speaking on his views. And just as a side note, there’s a strong chance that whoever commented that mixed him up with Nick Fuentes, as while I was googling I kept getting sources about him instead and had to constantly double check I was reading about the right guy

Calling some a nazi is definitely a slur? That’s not getting obtuse. I like how you’re trying to justify them not even responding to arguments like you were complaining about just because they have the same beliefs as you, rather than seeing that neither of those comments were helpful or even responses

And it’s really hard to form an opinion around the Epstein one without seeing your original post. Because even if what you’re saying now is completely true, I don’t see how that person would comment what they did as a response. Because its true, they are being protected by the FBI, and while I do not disagree with what you’re saying here, I specifically gave the original posts with the replies for context, whereas the replies you posted lack it

Calling someone a Nazi is not a slur. It may be untrue in your circumstances, I have no idea what you believe, but someone accused you of associating with a hateful ideology. If they made it without real basis then that is hurtful and ignorant but it is not a slur, get that straight.

Yeah I said there was no hard evidence in the Epstein files for basically anyone, that’s what they responded with.

A neo-Nazi/Nazi is a very real ideology that some people proudly boast. It’s not great to some people to be called one, but it’s something some people are proud of. You do still see people parading swastikas in 2026. Slurs like the N word, F slur, R word, etc are all rooted in things that cannot be changed/determined by the victims. They are not the same

A slur is a derogatory word or phrase used to insult or demean a person or group, usually based on an inherent or core characteristic of that group. They called him a Nazi because he is a straight white male with conservative views, not based on any actual opinions of his. That is a slur given that context by definition

Weird, I’ve seen people of all races be called a Nazi before over political takes. Is it good? No. But it’s not broadly used against straight white males at all. It’s used as an accusation. Would you say the word pedophile is a slur? How about racist or homophobic? These are all used very negatively against many groups of people, but there is no broad demographic that could define them as a slur

We’re going to keep going in circles over semantics, so we can agree to disagree. My ending note, personally, is that there’s a huge difference in the two replies you got and what I literally just posted among the other things that get said regularly by the “fuck your feelings” party in response to someone providing them with facts
