Male survivors, yes. But depicting anyone regardless of gender, actually getting raped? I don’t believe that should be in media… you can have a character with a tragic or traumatic backstory without showing the actual trauma and traumatizing the audience too.

ironically there are unintentional examples of it for men but it’s not really seen that way because of it being a man which is messed up

Oh god (although I think it’s important to have conversations about assault and the fact that it happens to everyone and media can help push that conversation) I do with there where less blatant scenes showing sexual assault vof anyone that shit is traumatized hint hint cough cough the movie “blink twice” messed with me for a moment because I wasn’t expecting the blatant SA scene
