i moved in w a girl from my high school and she turned out to be racist. then i got a random roommate and she was fine. u never know ig

my argument is that you can never guarantee what someone is like until you move in with them, and based on my experiences it’s not worth the hassle trying to find a decent roommate. nobody is decent

what the f… you just got bad roommate luck tbh😭 and tbh i rather that crazy shit than racism, they girl didn’t even like me from day one bc of “my vibe” like we know damn well💀 and her best friend told me all the racist shit she’d say about me when they fell out

i just don’t trust people anymore in general. random roommates means there’s no emotional attachment to the housing situation, it makes conflict a lot easier to handle

i 100% agree with you. sometimes the people you know and move in with turn out to be worse and its harder to set boundaries. you can become friends with a random but most likely will not stay friends with the familiar person you choose
