I’m kinda interested in this guy, but I’m a little nervous bc he might be a Trump supporter and I plan on leaving the country if Trump somehow tries to stay in the White House in 2029 😞

Like I can get past him supporting Trump (I know that part will piss a lot of people off), but I don’t want to live somewhere where a leader is able to stay in power longer than was previously possible. See Russia

He’s not going to do that, lol. It’s democrat fear propaganda and Trump uses it to continue to troll them. A legal argument CAN be made that since he was impeached, his first term was voided. There’s no way he will try to run again, we have a competent VP to hand the torch to.

I’m gonna strategize an escape plan with a friend pretty soon. We’re both queer guys, but I pass as straight and maybe he does? (I have a good gaydar so I got the vibes as soon as I met him). For our sake, I think we’re both safe as I’ve done some research on Project 2025 and I think foreigners, homeless people, and trans people will be the main targets. But he’s a smart dude who is intimately aware of the ins and outs of politics and already has sort of a back up plan

You are correct in theory. But I’m very good at predicting his moves. He essentially has control over law enforcement in DC via the national guard, and I would bet he tries to do this in other cities as well. He encouraged the arrest of homeless people and mentally ill people in advance to this. If they declare being trans a mental illness, then they have a way to lock away homeless people and trans people. And then the military, under control of the President, is policing our cities…

Lol. Hopefully I remember about this post when this happens. Maybe I’ll update it if the national guard gets deployed to other cities besides DC. Do you think it’s possible that he tries that? Is that something that Trump would do? (Is it American to have military ruling our cities, or is it more Venezuelan or Russian? 🤔)

Yeah, he hasn’t done anything to us, and I don’t expect him to try and do anything to us. I just don’t want to live here if he is able to somehow bypass whichever amendment that is and remain in power

If he’s president in 2029, it’s because the Supreme Court, congress, and the electoral college all approved it. You magically think he’s going to just not leave the building and that’s not even feasible, let alone rational.

The President has the power to exert emergency efforts in the capital city for 30 days. Further than that requires congressional approval. Again, you’re trained to hear a headline and immediately jump to DiCTatOR, when he’s acting completely within his authority to clean up our fucking country. Thankfully this time he’s not letting screams from people like you to deter him.
