people hate on coffee/drink first dates but like if it’s going bad or you can tell the persons gonna be a problem not long after you meet, i feel like it’s less awkward and quicker to get out of.

The purpose of a coffee date is that it’s a short cheap and low commitment way to get to know someone before you spend more time with them. Get tea or hot chocolate. Or go to a smoothie shop instead
