I’m not disagreeing with that. But it’s pretty easy to just be ambiguous about it while making posts and get much less ppl in your DMs. Bc believe it or not it still happens to everyone on this app. But you KNOW that when you insinuate your gender it happens 100x more and yet you still do it and complain when it gets the results you knew would come

Yeaaa I mean I’ve understood for a while. Guys be over-sexualizing everything for no reason. I’ve been on Wizz for a year now, and my female friends have shown me their accounts and the most diabolically creative sexual comments men say to them, and it’s so absurd it’s laughable because where tf does the audacity come from. But mostly hearing how one of my friends has been consistently sexually assaulted since she was ELEVEN has made me more educated on how bad this problem is.

There’s so much more I could say because I have, I’ve spent hours talking to people about how bad the problem is, in media, in jobs, and just every day life like men get away so much shit that traumatizes and dehumanizes women, and it gets to a point where people aren’t speaking up because no one does anything. Not gonna rant further, but I do see you, the problem, and everyone affected. I just wish there was something to be done so these men can understand the fact that women aren’t any lesser

You can literally just turn your DMs off and avoid the harassment entirely tho, that’s why the option to do that exists. You choosing to not do it doesn’t equate to empowerment it’s just doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome

Yes that’s an option, but the point is they shouldn’t HAVE to do so to avoid harassment when they’re not looking for that kind of attention. Why is someone posting about, say suicidal thoughts, and indicating they’re a women for context, but have to deal with most guy’s first reactions or overall intentions not being support, kind words, or an empathetic worry, but lust? And it’s not just on here they’re referring to, they can’t turn dms off in real life to stop the harassment.
