Not for back to school discounts like pencil, paper, and crayons, but it needs to be bc everything online now, and w/o a change we are going to see a lot more low income families having children dropping out of school

And people aren't gonna drop out of school because they can't afford a laptop lol low income schools don't require laptops and the ones that can afford to require them but know the kids can't afford them let kids take home Chromebooks

not to a very good price and sometimes there are no deals. Not everyone wants to buy from Amazon and Best Buy doesn’t do trade ins for everything so you’d be losing money. Also I’m mainly talking about MacBooks where there is no sale you would only get a gift card that you had to use in a separate purchase

And not all schools let the kids take chromebooks home and not all schools can even afford chromebooks for every student

I don’t know a single school or college that requires MacBooks. Picking out an apple branded item out of every possible laptop and then complaining they’re “not a very good price” and don’t go on sale is just silly. Apple doesn’t do sales. Most other brands have sales. If a school cannot provide computers/laptops they will offer alternatives on assignments. If they require computers, they’ll provide an option. MacBooks are the worst possible example for this post
