I have to find a new church because I refuse to go to a church that doesn’t believe in love for all people.

If it’s about lgbt, it’s not about not loving everyone. You can love the person hate the Sin and a church that says it is ok is just interpreting the word in the way in which they want to hear - which is dangerous and false. All sin is equal, but you have to call it out bc that is the truth. Again, love the people - do not have to love the sin.

So did the pastor say that being gay is a sin and that God hates the act, or did he actually say that God hates those people? Because, yeah—a church that says God loves the act of being gay is a fake church, hate to break it to you. But if the pastor was saying that God hates the sin and loves the person, then I fear that you, as a Christian, have lost the plot.

im so sorry! If they truly said they hated you/ other people for their sin than thats not okay! As christians we should love all unconditionally but discourage them from their sin to help work towards being better for god. You should look into roman catholicism!

As a catholic I agree. Yes being gay is viewed as a sin but we ALL sin. It doesn’t mean God loves anyone in the lgbtq+ any less❤️

Christianity is the only religion that teaches love for everyone, but their holy book still condemns sin, you can love someone and not approve of their actions even forgive them for it.

We should love everyone as Christians but when it comes to same sex couples the Bible is very clear that it is a sin. My church welcomes everyone and treats everyone with the same love and respect no matter what but my church also stands strong in teaching the Bible no matter who’s feelings may get hurt because the Bible is the truth and it needs to be taught for what it is.

All these denominations are distractions from the truth fhat JESUS was tortured on the cross and gave his life for OUR selfish sins, LOVE says turn from those ways and in JESUS find connection happiness etc. I was talking to my coworker who works with people 18 to mid 20s ish ans she said the people who struggle with identity and sexuality ALL had some sort of hard time growing up and it shows true with ME! I can’t imagine how many others it’s true for

What are you trying to get at? That’s there are other sins? Well I said that, gossiping is a sin. All sin is equal. I gossip and acknowledge that. I’m not going to sit here and say being gay is right, it’s not. And I’m not going to twist words to accept it bc it’s trending in society, that’s not the truth. But I can still love people who are gay, just as people who gossip, and have sex before marriage, and etc.

your point is irrelevant, those three million iraqis obviously didn't deserve to die. Jesus would agree with that and he would disagree with the actions happening. As christians we're suppose to strive and be like Jesus Christ, he was an all loving man who didn't agree with wars and things that harmed people. Our bible never stated violence was okay and war was good? You can't judge the religion because of people within when the religion itself promotes peace.

When did I say war was a good thing? You’re defending Islam and saying we say war is good. Your narrative doesn’t make sense. War isn’t a good thing, it’s human made. That doesn’t mean that men and women can’t defend themselves. And dick Cheney was a POS who wanted war, we can blame him. But soldiers are places their based on people from the top and when they’re over there they have to defend themselves when a guns pointed.

Not to intrude on this conversation, but if you did any research, you would know that psychology proves that mental illness is double the amount for LGBTQ members. Being gay is a choice. And it makes people depressed

Because that’s a part of the old law, which was fulfilled when Jesus was crucified and resurrected, and the new covenant was established which included things like people praying on their own instead of telling a priest or pharisee and having them pray in the temple for them

It absolutely is a choice—speaking from experience. I was separated from God and chose to date members of the same sex. After God saved my soul, I stopped making that choice. I now live in accordance with the law of Moses, not the law of man. It is a choice.
