She had more support than anyone could ever ask for. By the way at some point you can’t call it psychosis if it’s premeditated to the point of planning routes to know exactly how long your husband is gone. She knew it was wrong if she didn’t know it was wrong she wouldn’t have tried to hide it. This is open and shut premeditated murder and she should swing for it
Also this idea that women should be exempt from crimes because they are ruled by hormones and emotions is the exact same argument saying that women shouldn’t be able to vote. How about this she gets to walk free but all women are barred from being able to vote or hold any form of leadership role because they cannot think logically since they are controlled by hormones
yeah bc this happened bc of postpartum psychosis? which woman can develop? ending the stigma for women to speak up about dangerous/violent thoughts theyre having BEFORE they act on them is the best way to prevent cases like this from happening again, which means better care needs to be available for those women
no one is saying she gets to walk free? even if she’s not found guilty of premeditated murder she’s going to be in an institution to get mental help. acknowledging that women who give birth can be affected by postpartum psychosis, and understanding that it’s a very serious but very treatable illness isn’t saying women should be exempt or that they’re ruled by hormones
