Limerence is basically that intense, almost obsessive crush feeling where someone is constantly on your mind and your mood depends on how they act toward you.

The big difference is that limerence is fueled by uncertainty and longing, not stability. It’s more about the idea of them and how they make you feel, rather than truly knowing them on a deeper level. To put it simply; Limerence feels like a rollercoaster. Love feels more steady and secure.
