I’m bored and recently started re-reading Lolita so I wanted to just say Lolita is not a dark romance, it’s not a forbidden romance, it’s not a romance at all. It’s a fucking horror story for Dolores and the book is so straightforward about it. Weirdos-❤️

Not even just that, I just genuinely think people who think it’s even remotely romantic are stupid or pedophiles themselves. Like the first two chapters literally tell you to your face that H.H is a terrible person, a degenerate, delusional, and going to twist everything in his favor because of his infatuation over this child…like how much clearer to you gotta be 🙂 he’s literally IN JAIL awaiting court when the book starts-
