You did great facing your fear like that! It most likely did come out due to the rain, especially if you have a tree anywhere near your residence. The big ones are tree roaches, they have no rhyme or reason. The small ones are what you get when you leave food lying around.

bc I religiously clean, never leave crumbs, never anything left in my seat, vacuum multiple times a week, regularly dump boiling water down drain, and spray vinegar to repel bug, seal random crevices

PLSSS any time sweetness 🥰 I’m the one who left the bleach comment lol. trust me they are my biggest fear, never a fun thing to see + i also live in tx and notice that they love to show up after a big storm. Definitely nothing to do with your cleanliness!
