Well like here’s a good example the new Harry Potter show that’s coming out. Making Snape black. Why. What does that add. There’s no point to it. And then if you think about it from story perspective James bullies him a lot so then isn’t that considered racist?

Not every single show though, and most playwrights don’t know how to properly add ethnic and queer characters. They mostly turn them into stereotypical characters. Which is why not every show needs them.
