She keeps walking in and out of my house cuz I’m still trying to get the landlord to change the locks. She borrows my debit card when I tell her not to. She gets pissed when I tell her I’m single and renewed my lease to an apartment I was trying to move out of when we were together

They told me to file a restraining order but it’s taken like 2 months to get it and I have to do it secretly cuz I’m worried she’ll try to stop me or hurt me

Install a new lock yourself if it’s been over 14 days since you asked. Cancel your debit card and get a new one. If she renewed a lease in your name without your permission then that’s illegal and the lease is void. Get a lawyer and grow a spine

My landlord is lagging on it. I want to break her key behind my back but I’m worried she’ll take my current one and then I have to rely on her to get in. Then again she constantly leaves my door open but still, I won’t feel safe doing that in a bad neighborhood

Dude replace the damn lock yourself. If it’s a safety issue your landlord has to comply. That’s the law.

Canceling the debit card might help. We were cosigned on a lease which was how she was able to do it. Is there a lawyer I could get that can help for cheap or will it turn into a giant lawsuit thing?

Doesn’t matter if you were co-signed, that’s not how co-signing works. You could probably get a cheap lawyer.

I’m just scared of her and I don’t know who would even help me cheat if it’s only something I’m interested in doing to get rid of her. I have to find someone to pretend to cheat with for me but then I have to worry about their safety once it’s over
