It’s scary how so many people don’t care about facts. Jane Doe called the sexual acts CONSENSUAL before changing her story.

The fact is she went through a traumatic event that she wasn’t able to process the full impact of until weeks after

Actually no she didn’t, she specifically said there were acts she consented to and then there were ones and people she didn’t. Consent isn’t a finish line where anything goes consent to one thing doesn’t mean consent to all. When she went to the police she called what 4 of the men did to her rape. All this has been said so many times that it’s beating a dead horse atp and you’re not hearing, but I couldn’t move past this post without correcting you.

She consented before, during the acts (in fact, she was the one initiating the contact with members of the frat beyond the initial men), and she reaffirmed consent repeatedly afterwards. This is all documented. This is as clear cut as I’ve ever seen a case like this. If this isn’t consensual then consent might as well not exist because you can retroactively revoke it on a whim. Regret is not rape.

Just bc you consent to some drugs or alcohol does not mean that you consent to sex. Even if she did “consent” she reported being incapacitated. There’s a line that was crossed.

The issue is those statements came weeks after saying the complete opposite to virtually everyone. Not only are her own statements inconsistent to those she repeatedly made prior to reporting but her subsequent accusations are not supported by the testimonial evidence of every other person present. The evidence is clear that she consented every step of the encounter until weeks afterwards when rumors started to spread and she was banned from the fraternity’s Halloween party.

She admitted to voluntarily taking the drugs and alcohol. Additionally, being intoxicated is not synonymous with being legally incapacitated under the law. It’s not the same thing. Furthermore, based on the testimony she was LESS impaired than those she was initiating sexual contact with. So if anyone may have crossed a line it appears it may have been her. Also, this was already reviewed by the college, the police and the DA and they all deemed that the acts and the drug use were consensual.
