Man said no one ever does anything for his birthday so I'm making him a cake and taking him to a comedy show. I do like him, but I am very aware of the psychology here on how he's gonna like me so much more after this lmao

Just trying to keep mindful of different perspectives! My mom is someone that complains no one ever does anything for her birthday but if you try to do something it’s always wrong. She doesn’t like the way the cake is decorated, there’s too many balloons, there’s too little balloons, you’re trying to upstage her, says she wants to be left alone for some quiet on her birthday then gets mad that you’re not spending time with her, etc.
